New World Record Set at Las Vegas Star Trek Convention

LAS VEGAS — On Saturday at the Las Vegas Star Trek Convention a new Guinness World Record for “Star Trek fans in costume at a convention” was set. 1,040 fans attended, smashing the previous record, which was 691 set in Germany at FedCon last June.

Organized in the Brasilia Theater, inside the Rio Hotel & Casino, at approximately 4:00 p.m. Creation Entertainment co-founder Gary Berman proclaimed “the world record for most people in a Star Trek costume in one place has returned to Las Vegas” inciting enormous cheers from the passionate crowd.
