Creation Entertainment announced today that Scott Bakula has been added as a headliner to the Official Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas this August.

Bakula, who played Captain Jonathan Archer of Star Trek: Enterprise, joins fellow captains William Shatner, Kate Mulgrew and Avery Brooks at what’s become the largest yearly Star Trek convention in the United States.

While best known for his roles on Quantum Leap as Sam Beckett and on Enterprise as Archer, Bakula has recently appeared on NBC’s Chuck and TNT’s Men of a Certain Age.

Previously announced guests include Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, Marina Sirtis, Michael Dorn, John de Lancie, Colm Meaney, Ron Moore, LeVar Burton, Gates McFadden, George Takei, Walter Koenig, John Billingsly, Robert Picardo, Jeffrey Combs and several more.

The Official Star Trek Convention takes place August 9th – 12th at the Rio Suites Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
