Chris Pine Says Star Trek Sequel Filming Has Been “Fantastic”

The new Captain James T. Kirk, Chris Pine took some time away from filming the next installment of J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek to attend the premiere of his latest film This Means War.

During the premiere, Pine told Radio Times that the filming of the sequel thus far has been “fantastic.”

He went on to discuss the cast additions of Alice Eve and Benedict Cumberbatch, saying “They’re getting on great. We have a really good, warm, inclusive group from the first one and I think everybody’s kind of getting the hang of things and fitting in quite nicely.”

The Star Trek sequel began production January and is scheduled to be released to theaters on May 17th, 2013.
