Early Tuesday morning, a teaser trailer for the Star Trek sequel, reported to be official, hit Youtube.
The trailer, which turned out to be a fake, spread like wild fire among industry websites, like Ain’t It Cool News and across social media websites, like Facebook and Twitter.
While it’s been outed as a fake, it’s extremely well done and has surely added to the anticipation of the film.

The Star Trek sequel, starring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, John Cho, Benedict Cumberbatch, Peter Weller, Bruce Greenwood and Alice Eve, will hit theaters on May 17, 2013.
