Zachary Quinto Says Next Star Trek Film May Shoot Next Year

Last Friday, at the Galway Film Fleadh, Zachary Quinto discussed his career and his role as Spock in J.J. Abrams two Star Trek films, during a public interview. Quinto talked about current and future projects, including details on the next Star Trek film.

Discussing his role as Spock, Quinto told the audience:

Star Trek 3 should be filming, I suppose, next year. It’s going to be made a lot quicker than the last one. That’s the plan, although nothing is confirmed yet.

When asked if he would be interested in working alongside Abrams on Star Wars: Episode VII, Quinto said he would not.

He was also asked if he would want to reunite with Abrams and appear in Star Wars Episode VII, and he said he would not, without giving a particular reason.

According to a report on BuzzHub, Quinto mentioned that J.J. Abrams planned to once again take on direct duties. However, he did not elaborate on what would be surprising news.
