CBS Extends Amazon Partnership, Every Star Trek Series Will Remain Available To Prime Members

Amazon Prime members will continue to be able to stream episodes of every Star Trek series for the foreseeable future, after CBS and Amazon came to an agreement to extend their successful video on-demand partnership.

In addition to Star Trek, other CBS properties available via Amazon Prime include Under the Dome, Twilight Zone, Medium, The Tudors, Jericho, I Love Lucy, Vegas, Cheers and Numb3rs.

“We are very pleased to continue expanding our partnership with Amazon,” said CBS Corp. Chief Corporate Licensing Officer Scott Koondel. “CBS content is clearly a great match with Prime Instant Video’s growing user base, including The Good Wife being the service’s No. 1 show this past fourth quarter, as well as strong viewership of Under the Dome over the summer. We look forward to Under the Dome season two this summer, along with Extant, and all that we will continue to do to provide great programming to our mutual customers.”

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the terms of this latest deal were not disclosed.

Amazon Prime is available to US customers for $79 annually and includes unlimited movie and TV streaming, a free borrowed e-book each month, and free two-day shipping on most purchases (without a minimum purchase amount).
