Shatner To Read ‘The Autobiography of James T. Kirk’ At SDCC

William Shatner is set to appear at San Diego Comic-Con on on Thursday, July 9th to read excerpts from The Autobiography of James T. Kirk.

Written by David Goodman, the Autobiography of James T. Kirk chronicles Kirk’s life (2233–2371), in his own words. From his birth aboard the USS Kelvin, his time on on Tarsus IV, his journey through Starfleet Academy, and his career at the helm of the USS Enterprise.

According to the official description, “Kirk’s singular voice rings throughout the text, giving insight into his convictions, his bravery, and his commitment to the life—in all forms—throughout this Galaxy and beyond. Excerpts from his personal correspondence, captain’s logs, and more give Kirk’s personal narrative further depth.”

You can pre-order the 288-page book on Amazon, which is scheduled to be released on September 8. Advance copies will be available at Titan’s booth (#5537).

David Goodman’s writing credits include The Golden Girls, Star Trek: Enterprise, Futurama, and Family Guy. He is also the author of Star Trek Federation: The First 150 Years.
