With the Los Angeles premiere not slated until next week, this was the first time the third installment of the rebooted Star Trek film franchise was shown to a wide audience. Details and reviews of the film have been embargoed until July 20.

Payne and Patrick McCay, Star Trek Beyond stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, Idris Elba and Sofia Boutella. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on July 22 after premiering during San Diego Comic-Con on July 20.
