STAR TREK: DISCOVERY Nominated for GLAAD Award

Star Trek: Discovery has been nominated for Outstanding Drama Series for the 19th annual GLAAD Media Awards. The announcement was made on Friday at the Sundance Film Festival Discovery‘s Wilson Cruz (who plays Dr. Hugh Culber) and Transparent‘s Trace Lysette

Discovery‘s competition in the category includes Billions, Doubt, The Handmaid’s Tale, Nashville, Sense8, last year’s winner Shadowhunters, Star, This Is Us and Wynonna Earp.

Cruz celebrated the nomination by posting a photo with GLAAD President & CEO Sarah Kate Ellis on Twitter.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony on April 12.

More award nominations for Star Trek: Discovery

Additionally, Star Trek: Discovery was also nominated for Outstanding Visual Effects for the episode “The Vulcan Hello” in this year’s VES awards and series star Jason Isaacs for Best Actor in a TV Series in the 2018 Empire Awards.

The 12th episode of Star Trek: Discovery will be available to CBS All Access subscribers this Sunday, January 21st at 8:30 PM ET and on Netflix for viewers outside the US on Monday morning.
