‘Star Trek Beyond’ Wraps Filming

That’s a wrap!

“Star Trek Beyond” officially completed filming on Thursday in Dubai.

Director Justin Lin will now begin a lengthy post-production process for the film, scheduled to hit theaters on July 22, 2016.

With filming complete, the cast and crew said their “goodbyes” following the conclusion of the final scene. Zachary Quinto posted the video below to his Instagram account with the caption “this. maybe for the last time. maybe not.”. Implying that this may be the final time he appears on screen as Spock.

Writer/star Simon Pegg along with one of the film’s stars Sofia Boutella also posted to their social media accounts.

Directed by Justin Lin and produced by J.J. Abrams and Roberto Orci, “Star Trek Beyond” stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, Sofia Boutella and Idris Elba will hit theaters on July 22, 2016. The film will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Star Trek franchise.
