Fans were surprised to see Star Trek‘s William Shatner in a wheelchair during last week’s San Diego Comic Con.

The 83-year-old was pushed onstage during an appearance with Betty White and Scrubs star Donald Faison for the “Legends of TV Land” panel, Shatner told fans that he would bounce back from the incident.

“I was riding a horse and had an accident. The horse got off scot-free. I did not. I wrecked my leg.” he said.

Shatner went on to say “I was not going to (miss Comic-Con). In a couple of days I’ll be fine, but right now I’m in a lot of pain.”

We here at TrekNews.net wish Mr. Shatner a speedy recovery.
