President Obama Gives a Vulcan Salute with Nichelle Nichols

On February 29th, during a trip to Washington DC to keynote the 2012 Martin Luther King, Jr., and African-American History Month commemorative presentations at NASA’s Goddard Museum, Star Trek‘s Nichelle Nichols met President Barack Obama in the White House’s Oval office.

After the meeting, Nichols tweeted about the meeting, noting that the President was indeed a Trekkie and that he confessed he once had a crush on her.

Nichols shared the photo of her with the President on Twitter earlier today.
