'Star Trek: The Original Series' Actor, William Windom Dies at 88

William Windom, who played Commodore Matt Decker on the ‘Star Trek: The Original Series’ episode “The Doomsday Machine”, died on Thursday, August 16th at his home in Woodacre, California. According to his widow, Patricia, congestive heart failure was the cause of death. Windom was 88-years old.

    Best guest star in the original Trek, hands down. He truly elevated this episode into a classic.
