Creation Entertainment’s Official Star Trek Convention is set to beam down to Chicago and Boston in the next few weeks. The two events will lead up to what’s become the largest Star Trek convention in the world, taking place in Las Vegas later this summer.

The Chicago convention takes place from Friday, May 31st and runs through Sunday, June 2nd at the Westin O’Haire Hotel in Rosemont, Illinois — just minutes from downtown Chicago.

Guests include TNG’s Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, Marina Sirtis, Michael Dorn, LeVar Burton and Gates McFadden, along with DS9’s Avery Brooks, Nana Visitor, Rene Auberjonis, Jeffrey Combs, and Casey Biggs.

In addition to the special guests, TrekNews.net’s own John Tenuto will present three unique discussions, including “Space Seed”: Concepts and Collectibles on Friday, 20 Years of Deep Space Nine Collectibles on Saturday, and a behind-the-scenes look at Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan on Sunday.

Next up, Creation returns to Boston on June 8th and 9th at the Hynes Convention Center. Announced guests include TOS stars William Shatner, George Takei, and Nichelle Nichols along with TNG’s Brent Spiner, Jonathan Frakes, LeVar Burton, Marina Sirtis, Michael Dorn, Denise Crosby, and Gates McFadden, plus DS9’s Nana Visitor and Rene Auberjonis.

At both the Chicago and Boston conventions, the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation will take the stage together for what’s being called the “TNG Reunion Performance” (hosted by William Shatner in Boston). A separate ticket must be purchased for this This special 90-minute performance as it is not included in any ticket packages.
