WATCH: Patrick Stewart In 'Blunt Talk' Trailer

Star Trek: The Next Generation‘s Patrick Stewart stars in a new sitcom, produced by Seth MacFarlane for the Starz network, titled Blunt Talk.

The show follows British newscaster Walter Blunt, who after several failed marriages, moves to Los Angeles to conquer the world of American cable news.

Stewart attended the premiere for the show, along with his son Daniel, in Los Angeles on Monday.

The series is set to premiere on August 22 at 9pm.

“Blunt Talk,” follows Walter Blunt, a British import intent on conquering American nightly cable news and his mostly misguided decision-making, on and off the air. Series premiere August 22 9P ET/PT.

Stewart, who played Captain Jean-Luc Picard on TNG for seven seasons, celebrated his 75th birthday in July.
