How To Stream Tonight's 'Star Trek: Discovery' Premiere Event Live From L.A.

While Star Trek: Discovery won’t make its television premiere until Sunday (9/24), industry insiders and select fans have been invited to a special screening tonight in Los Angeles. Feeling a little left out? Well, we’ve got some good news for you! CBS will stream the red carpet event, live from the Arclight Theatre.

The festivities kick off at 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT and will be live-streamed on the official Star Trek: Discovery Facebook page.

Guests scheduled to be in attendance include Sonequa Martin-Green (First Officer Michael Burnham), Doug Jones (Lieutenant Saru), Jason Isaacs (Captain Gabriel Lorca), Shazad Latif (Lieutenant Ash Tyler), Anthony Rapp (Lieutenant Paul Stamets), Michelle Yeoh (Captain Philippa Georgiou), Mary Wiseman (Cadet Sylvia Tilly), Mary Chieffo (L’Rell), James Frain (Ambassador Sarek), Rainn Wilson (Harry Mudd), Kenneth Mitchell (Kol), Sam Vartholomeos (Ensign Connor), Wilson Cruz (Dr. Hugh Culber), along with members of the show’s crew.

Starting Tuesday, Sept. 19 at 5:00 PM PT / 8:00 PM ET, Star Trek fans will be able to stream the red carpet pre-show LIVE via the Star Trek: Discovery Facebook page.

The Facebook Live premiere event, which will be hosted by Entertainment Tonight’s Leanne Aguilera, promises tons of special guests, including series cast members Sonequa Martin-Green (First Officer Michael Burnham), Doug Jones (Lieutenant Saru), Jason Isaacs (Captain Gabriel Lorca), Shazad Latif (Lieutenant Ash Tyler), Anthony Rapp (Lieutenant Paul Stamets), Michelle Yeoh (Captain Philippa Georgiou), Mary Wiseman (Cadet Sylvia Tilly), Mary Chieffo (L’Rell), James Frain (Ambassador Sarek), Rainn Wilson (Harry Mudd), Kenneth Mitchell (Kol), Sam Vartholomeos (Ensign Connor), Wilson Cruz (Dr. Hugh Culber)—plus, many Star Trek: Discovery creators.

Fans can also expect to see various Star Trek actors from past series at the event, spanning from The Original Series to Enterprise.

You won’t wanna miss it!

Star Trek: Discovery is set to premiere on Sunday, September 24 at 8:30 PM ET on CBS. Immediately following the first episode’s release, the second episode will be available in the U.S. on CBS All Access, with subsequent episodes released on Sundays. The first eight episodes will run from September 24 through November 5, with the series returning in January 2018.

    so it’s just the red carpet walking interviews from the actors and not a screening of the episode itself on the face book page

    Foreign ambassadors won’t be able to access the stream it seems. This makes me sad!

    So instead of watching it on regular CBS programming, they are making one pay to see it? Just more media ripoff to make money. That is just sad. I expected more from Roddenberry and CBS…
