Just hours before its premier, CBS has posted the opening title sequence to Star Trek: Discovery. There are no credits overlaid yet, but it offers great views of various props that will be seen on the show, as well as the ship itself. The video shows shades of the Enterprise opening while the music uses well-known cues from The Original Series.
Discovery premieres tonight at 8:30pm ET/7:30pm CT on CBS with future episode coming exclusively to CBS All Access.

I didn’t really like the music. It’s like it was striving for a melody 3-4 times, but could never find it. The visuals are really good though.

I like the inverted colors certain better, but it does just feel like an attempted nostalgia parade. Remember these things you like? You should like this too, because references.
