The latest trailer for the second season of Star Trek: Discovery has landed! The 30-second trailer, titled “A Whole New Trek,” features tons of new footage, in addition to some that was revealed at New York Comic Con in October.

I can’t believe the among of hate this new spot is getting. Spock smiles. So what?.its canon. This is Pikes Spock as we saw in trailer Piks assumes command. In the 2 episodes of TOS that featured Pike they were and are accepted as canon. In the cage episode where pike is the enterprises captain Spock does show some emotion. This is many years b4 kirk so Spock would have had more time to purge his emotions. discovery gets pike. Spock comes along with pike. Therefore we get pikes Spock.

At this point, might as well just gender-bend Worf into a woman, have her come back in time from the future on a razor scooter powered by greenhouse gasses, and bludgeon the rest of the cast over the head with a premise about accepting her choice to self-identify as a lemur.
