The first trailer for the upcoming Star Trek: Picard series has arrived.
The one-minute trailer features a look at the Chateau Picard winery along with a female voiceover, listing Picard’s accomplishments and asking why he left Starfleet.

The voiceover questions Picard, saying:
Fifteen years ago, today, you led us out of the darkness.
You commanded the greatest rescue armada in history.
Then, the unimaginable.
What did that cost you?
Your faith?
Your faith in us?

Tell us… why did you leave Starfleet, Admiral?

Star Trek: Picard Poster Art
First announced in August 2018 at Star Trek Las Vegas, Star Trek: Picard will see Patrick Stewart return to the role of Jean-Luc Picard, which he played for seven seasons on Star Trek: The Next Generation, alongside Alison Pill, Harry Treadaway, Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera, Michelle Hurd and Evan Evagora. It is produced by Stewart himself along with Alex Kurtzman, James Duff, Akiva Goldsman, Michael Chabon, Heather Kadin, Rod Roddenberry, Trevor Roth and Aaron Baiers.
Production began last month, and it is expected to wrap in mid-September. The series will debut in December 2019 on CBS All Access in the United States and will be available through Amazon Prime Video in most other countries.
The logo for the series was first revealed during the CBS All Access presentation, during upfronts earlier this month in New York City.

Oooo! And I really appreciate that I can watch the trailer from here in Canada. Usually I get ‘not available in your area’. That tics me off when the show or movie was mostly shot in Canada with a bunch of Canadian actors and crew on board. I’m looking forward to Star Trek: Picard.

The arrowhead logo made from grapevines in the promotional poster is anachronistic (if that’s the right word). The elongated star in the center is from an earlier era in Trek’s history. It looks way cool though!
