Creation’s Official Star Trek Convention Lands in San Francisco This Weekend

This weekend Creation Entertainment brings the Official Star Trek Convention to San Francisco’s Hyatt Regency (at San Francisco Airport) with a great lineup, including Leonard Nimoy and Nichelle Nichols from Star Trek: The Original Series.

Mar 08, 2011 – Star Trek fans will celebrate three big days of everything “Trek” as Creation Entertainment brings to San Francisco N, Friday through Sunday, March 11, 12, & 13.  The festivities will take place at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport, 1333 Bayshore Highway, Burlingame, 94010.   Plenty of Parking is available.

This San Francisco weekend will feature an array of Star Trek stars, non-stop events, parties, contests, panels, music, performances, autographing and photo ops.  Some extra surprises will include the live appearance of the Klingon Duras Sisters for the very first time anywhere!

The Official Star Trek Convention will be highlighted by in-person appearances on stage by a Starfleet worthy line-up of Star Trek celebrities. Included will be: On Friday, Grace Lee Whitney (Yoeman Janice Rand on classic Star Trek), Eric Menyuk (The Traveler” in Next Generation) and Jane Wiedlin (Officer Trillya in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home and member of Go-Go’s pop group); on Saturday, the Star Trek legend Leonard Nimoy (Mr. Spock), Nichelle Nichols (Lt. Uhura), Gwynyth Walsh (B’Etor) and Barbara March (Lursa); on Sunday, Connor Trinneer (Trip), Dominic Keating (Lt. Malcom Reed), Nana Visitor (Major Kira) and Rene Auberjonois (Odo).

In the Creation autograph area, attendees will have the opportunity to meet and obtain autographs from notable Star Trek and sci-fi media guests.  Also, not to be missed will be an exhibit hall featuring Star Trek and sci-fi collectibles from across the galaxy.

General admission tickets are available at the door for $20 on Friday, $40 on Saturday and $25 on Sunday.  Show hours are Friday, NOON – 6:00 PM, Saturday, 9:30 – 7:00 PM, and Sunday, 10:00 – 5:30 PM.
