Leading up to the next episode of Star Trek: Discovery, CBS has released eight photos from “What’s Past Is Prologue”. The episode continues Discovery‘s ongoing stay in the Mirror Universe with Michelle Yeoh as Phillipa Georgiou, the emperor of the Terran Empire.

I have to admit, I started watching this out of loyalty to the original Star Trek, and was mildly interested in the episodes, but with the new Season, I’m riveted to the screen every Sunday night. This is one of the best series, I’ve ever watched, whether you’re a ST fan or not. Great Sci-fi

I watch it on CBS and pay for the seeing it when I want to. Thanks for the link, but am not downloading anything like that. Thanks anyway. But do love it, as now it is in the parallel universe and have to see them find a way out.

I also have been very pleased. Even though the fans on the internet have pretty much predicted all the major surprises in advance, the writers have still managed to do it in a unique way and then of course, the acting and the special effects just have made it beyond fantastic so I’m in the ride no matter what comes. That being said, I really HOPE that the escape from M/U doesn’t result in a timetravel/groundhog reset of the season. As much as I liked the characters several have been painted into a corner and we’ve invested a great deal of emotional investments in the story. A ‘never mind’ would be weak I think. But like I said, I’m sold no matter what but ‘past/prologue gives me pause. I know that in scifi and soap operas, dead don’t mean dead but let’s not play that card already.

I guess you never watched it the first time in Star Trek, the original series. What generally happened, there is a rip in time a space and we are able to travel in to another dimension, thus Parallel Universe. The J J Abrams movies are based on that parallel universe. So get used to parallels in the stories, it will happen again, with the rip in time and space. There is no way to repair the damage.
