Zoe Saldana on Star Trek 2

Zoe Saldana who seems to be as anxiously awaiting the Star Trek sequel as most fans, had a few ideas for the next film during a short interview with MTV. Saldana said she wants to see the Spock-Uhura relationship taken to the next level. She also has hopes for a shirtless Kirk and Sulu. On the topic of her character, Uhura, she’d like to see her “kick some ass”.

Details below.

“For some reason, I’m not like a mushy person, but I kind of want Spock and Uhura to get it on,” Saldana said. “Not in that sense,” she added. “But you really want to see more of that love affair.”

“Captain Kirk (Chris Pine) should definitely take off his shirt,” she joked. “Along with Sulu (John Cho). And I think Uhura should kick some ass.”

No, we really don’t want to see more of that “love affair”. Bring back McCoy as third billing and stop trying to turn an adventure series into a romance! There was a damn good reason none of the Enterprise crew hooked up with anyone permanently.
