Creation Entertainment’s annual Official Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas kicks off this Thursday (8/6) and runs through Sunday at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.
The four-day event will include a celebration of Leonard Nimoy’s life, a costume contest, a special twenty-year salute to Star Trek: Voyager, a concert by the Star Trek Rat Pack, photo ops on the Original Series bridge, a Borg bingo party, and on-stage appearances by more than 100 Star Trek actors and personalities.
Guests scheduled to appear this year include: William Shatner, Patrick Stewart, George Takei, Kate Mulgrew, Karl Urban, Joan Collins, Jeri Ryan, Walter Koenig, James Darren, Michael Westmore, Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis, Michael Dorn, Brent Spiner, LeVar Burton, Tim Russ, Max Grodenchik, Terry Farrell, Robert Picardo, Denise Crosby, Armin Shimerman, Ethan Phillips, Nicole de Boer, Robert Beltran, Nana Visitor, Alexander Siddig, Garrett Wang, Rene Auberjonois, Connor Trinneer, Dominik Keating, John de Lancie, Brannon Braga, Jeffrey Combs, Alice Krige, Robert Duncan McNeill, and many more.

Thursday’s events include: On-stage appearances by Armin Shimerman (Quark), James Darren (Vic Fontaine) and Nicole de Boer (Ezri Dax)from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, JG Hertzler as Martok and Robert O’Reilly as Gowron in-character, a Star Trek Enterprise Panel: Connor Trinneer (“Trip” Tucker), Dominic Keating (Lt. Malcolm Reed), John Billingsley (Dr. Phlox), Linda Park (Hoshi Sato) and Anthony Montgomery (Travis Mayweather), a “Making of Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country” panel hosted by TrekNews.net contributor John Tenuto, a retrospective look at Gene Roddenberry’s life and career with Richard Arnold, a Star Trek: The Original Series blooper reel and Star Trek karaoke.
Friday
On Friday, Walter Koenig (Chekov) from Star Trek: The Original Series, Nana Visitor (Kira), Rene Auberjonois (Odo), Terry Farrell (Dax) and Cirroc Lofton (Jake Cisco) from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Alice Krige (Borg Queen), Joseph Gatt (Science Officer 0718 in Star Trek Into Darkness), Eugene Roddenberry, Max Grodenchik as Rom and Aron Eisenberg as Nog from DS9 in character, Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi), Michael Dorn (Worf) and Denise Crosby (Tasha Yar) from Star Trek: The Next Generation will appear on stage. Plus, a celebration of the life of Leonard Nimoy, with his son Adam Nimoy, a Star Trek Online presentation, Larry Nemecek’s “Captions Logged,” a Star Trek and the military presentation, and a focus on Star Trek literature and comics.
Saturday
Then on Saturday, William Shatner (Captain Kirk), Joan Collins (from “The City on the Edge of Forever”), Karl Urban (Dr. McCoy), Terry Farrell (Dax), Brannon Braga, Dennis McCarthy, a Star Trek auction, a history of Star Trek Voyager panel with Professor John Tenuto, and a look at the impact of the female roles on Voyager with Mary Czerwinski. The day will be highlighted by a “Salute to Voyager’s 20th Anniversary” with: Kate Mulgrew (Captain Janeway), Jeri Ryan (7 of 9), Robert Beltran (Chakotay), Tim Russ (Tuvok), Robert Picardo (Holographic Doctor), Roxann Dawson (Lt. Torres) (exclusive 2015 appearance!), Ethan Phillips (Neelix), Robert Duncan McNeill (Paris) and Garrett Wang (Ensign Kim).
Sunday
Finally on Sunday, Sir Patrick Stewart (Captain Picard), Jonathan Frakes (Riker: TNG), LeVar Burton (Georgi LaForge) and Brent Spiner (Data) from Star Trek: The Next Generation, George Takei (Sulu) from Star Trek: The Original Series, Bryan Fuller, a salute to Grace Lee Whitney (Janice Rand) from Star Trek: The Original Series, a performance by the Star Trek Rat Pack Max Grodenchik, Armin Shimerma, Vaughn Armstrong, Jeffrey Combs, and Casey Biggs), a Propworx live auction, and a Star Trek craft workshop hosted by Mary Czerwinski and Connor Bright, hosts of Glue Guns and Phasers.
