Directed by Justin Lin, written by Simon Pegg, Doug Jung, Roberto Orci, John D. Payne and Patrick McCay, Star Trek Beyond stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, Idris Elba and Sofia Boutella. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on July 22 after premiering during San Diego Comic-Con on July 20.

yeah the more trailers i see the less i like the looks of this movie.This is not Star Trek this is a summer pop corn action movie.I won’t waste money on a ticket or the time of my life it would take to watch it when it comes out on DVD.If this is what fans get as the 50th anniversary movie.I’d rather CBS/Paramount drop the lawsuit against Alec Peters and let them make Axanar instead.I hate that guy but at least Axanar was doing Star Trek the right way.

It was actually Christian Gossett and the cast and crew that he brought
with him that made Prelude what it was, and why it got made. Alec’s way
of doing things is why an Axanar feature was halted – way before the suit. Most of society understands that you you
don’t go uninvited into someone else’s yard without consent unless you follow the rules of social boundaries. You don’t go into the garage or stray into their backyard, and you don’t go round to look in their windows. Just use the path and knock on the door. Fan films had consent to walk up the Star Trek path until Alec Peters forced CBS to build fences, gates, and locks because he chose not to respect social
boundaries.

like i said i hate Alec Peters and what he has caused to happen to fan productions.he is to blame for the new guidelines plan and simple. i don’t know anything about the crew working with him.All i know is their idea is what Star Trek should be.More so the crap Paramount and Bad Robot are dumping on us this summer for the 50th anniversary.

Wow. The more I see, the more I am anticipating this movie! Looks like this will be the best of the reboots. Justin Links is showing he “gets” Trek. Been a fan from way back to TOS and you can tell from the dialogue so far that there is definitely a story this time around. Can’t wait!

Ok, it’s just an another summer blockbuster movie… But it’s not a Star Trek, but after to shitty movie directed by JJ “lens flare” Abrams, it will hopless to think Paramount will be intelligent…
